Who is Hagerstown Christian Church?
We are a group of people just like you, that are meeting together...seeking to grow in our worship of and relationship with Jesus Christ. We are not about religion, rules or being perfect. We are about knowing Jesus personally, knowing freedom from our sins and a new life in Him. A life in which all all our faults are covered, restoration is received and a promise of life after this life on earth is offered!
We believe in a "family focused" ministry based on God's inerrant word, the Bible...that encourages family units to worship and learn God's word together. (Family Unit = single parents with children, grandparents, couples with children, and yes, even singles themselves.) We do offer separate teaching opportunities for infants and children up to elementary school. We fully realize that they too can learn more than we give them credit for many times. So, we encourage them in learning about God at an early age through age appropriate worship and teaching both Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings.

We'd like to share with you what the Bible, God's Word says about all this...and more. We're here to share with you about a personal relationship with your Creator, the One who made you and knows you by name!
6 Truths...
- God loves you no matter what! No matter what your social, material or financial status is - He made you and so loves you!
- He wants a personal relationship with you and I. He made us to have a relationship with Him, but because of our sin (anything we do wrong in our life), our relationship can't be reconciled/restored because He is too holy of a God to allow any sin or imperfection in His kingdom. So, He sent Jesus - His Son to die for our sin. When we receive the gift of Jesus, we receive the gift of reconciliation with our Creator God.
- It's our choice to receive or reject this gift of reconciliation. God will not make you or I receive it. It must be our own choice...a choice to love and live for the One who created us!
- You and I are unique! He created you and has a plan for your life. You were not just created and left to be on your own. Your very Creator - God, made you with a purpose in this life and He wants to reveal it to you and help you fulfill it.
- A reconciled relationship with your Creator is not based on how good you are. It's based on what decision you make about receiving or rejecting His Son Jesus!
- There are no "hoops" to jump through. You and I do not need to "clean up your life" before going to Him for reconciliation. To receive the gift of forgiveness from your sin through Jesus, God just wants you to come to Him as you are...imperfect, needing Him - just like the rest of us!
Romans 10:9 - "That if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and you believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified (made right with God). and it is with your mouth that you confess and you are saved." - Romans 10:13 - "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
